In the robotic automated production plant, there are two major problems that have plagued the plant's production managers.
Question 1:
If a robot on the production line is suddenly in the process of production, it may cause a shutdown of the entire production line, which will bring great time and economic loss to the project. Take the automobile production line as an example. If a car is produced in 2 minutes and 30 cars are produced every hour, each car is worth 100,000 yuan. If the production line is stopped for one hour, it will result in a loss of output value of 3 million.
Question 2:
When a large number of robots are used in the factory, the maintenance management of the robots will be a troublesome problem for the equipment maintenance engineers. The maintenance items and maintenance intervals of different types of robots will also be different. Even the same type of robots will have different maintenance time points due to different procurement time and frequency of use. Therefore, it is difficult to develop a unified and optimized robot maintenance plan.
In order to solve the above problems, FANUC developed the robot cloud remote service system (Zero Down TIme), referred to as the ZDT system. The system is an industrial IoT application developed specifically for FANUC's robotics products.
ZDT is the use of industrial Internet of Things and big data technology to collect and monitor various operational data and maintenance information of FANUC robots, analyze these big data, and unearth the hidden dangers of equipment failure, and make preventive inspection and maintenance in advance. Avoid sudden failure of equipment in the normal production process, thus achieving zero accidental shutdown of the equipment, ensuring continuous and stable production operation of the plant.
ZDT continuously collects information on FANUC robots, monitors robotic mechanical components and controllers, and monitors various process equipment and process equipment, such as servo welding guns and spray equipment.
ZDT also features advanced system optimization features. Using system optimization, you can reduce the power consumption of the system, extend the life of the robot, and increase the speed and efficiency of the system.
FANUC cooperated with Cisco to greatly expand the functionality and security of ZDT, and send and store the big data collected by ZDT function in the cloud. Connect the robotic operational data of the customer's plant to FANUC's global service network via the Internet and cloud services. Once the ZDT running in the cloud predicts that a FANUC device may fail, it will automatically inform FANUC's service team that FANUC will immediately analyze the cause and take measures to ensure FANUC technical support before the customer equipment really fails. Personnel and equipment spare parts have already arrived at the customer's factory, completed the necessary maintenance and maintenance, and precluded the potential for equipment failure.
After the ZDT function is connected to the cloud, the emergency response speed of the FANUC global service team is greatly improved. At the same time, FANUC's newly developed analysis and diagnostic new function applications can be quickly deployed, updated and maintained in the cloud ZDT data center, allowing users to enjoy the latest functions and services developed by FANUC in a timely manner.
Users can access the ZDT system via the Internet to learn about the working status of the robot. In this way, no matter where the user is, such as: company, home or on the road, you only need to connect your laptop, ipad or mobile phone to the Internet, and you can understand the working status of the factory robot through the browser.
The ZDT system can count the maintenance time of the robot in real time and give the remaining time. Once the remaining maintenance time reaches the warning value, two weeks in advance as set in the figure, an alarm will be issued to the user to arrange maintenance in time. The user can arrange the robot maintenance plan according to the remaining time, keep the robot's healthy working state and extend its service life.
The ZDT system can automatically generate a daily status report of the robot and send it to the user's mailbox. Through this report, users can know which robots have abnormal conditions on the day, instead of viewing them on one page in the webpage. Each month, the ZDT system can also provide a monthly analysis report, allowing users to quickly understand all the problems and causes of the robot in the current month.
