LED flashing: the robot shines through the emotions (Figure)

In the dark, these machines flash beautiful light through the LEDs. These lights are not just for good looks, they express the "emotion" of these machines.


This small robot is called Glowbot and is filled with various sound and light sensors (microphone, Bluetooth, camera, etc.). These sensors are their "sensory organs", and 148 LEDs can form different patterns. , reflecting different "expressions." Glowbot receives signals from its own kind (or a viewer who "plays" with it) through its "feeling organs" and then organizes the glowing pattern according to the signal. Multiple patterns are intertwined and more variations are derived. These little guys are happy to "communicate" and constantly create increasingly complex patterns.

Glowbot was developed by Mattias Jacobson, SaraLjungblad, JohanBodin and JeffreyKnurek, and their fun project will appear on the EmergingTechnologies unit of this year's Siggraph conference.
