Nintendo GO! New host NX equipped with camera or AR function

Nintendo NX will be put into production before the end of 2016 and will have a built-in camera - according to the latest report. According to a recent report by the industry news site Digitimes, Nintendo plans to begin production trials of the next-generation game console NX in the third quarter of this year, which is expected to be produced in the fourth quarter — an entire quarter earlier than the scheduled time.

Nintendo New Host NX

The report wrote:

More than 40% of NX host's initial production will be handled by Foxconn, and the rest will be given to Japanese manufacturers Misumi Electronics and Hosiden. In addition to manufacturing Foxconn in Taiwan, it also includes NAND flash memory maker Marconi International, CMOS image sensor company Pixart Imaging, and power supply manufacturer Delta Electronics.

NX host or will join the AR function

The addition of the CMOS image sensor company indicates that we will see that the NX host may be equipped with a camera. Unfortunately, there is no other news to prove. However, Digitimes claimed that its sources said that the NX host is equipped with an Tegra X1 mobile processor from Intel's ARM architecture.

In April this year, Nintendo confirmed that the new host NX will be released in March 2017. A month later, the company also revealed that NX is a completely new concept and does not intend to replace the 3DS or Wii U product lines. Nintendo promised that it is studying virtual reality, but there is no evidence that NX contains virtual reality technology. Earlier reports that NX will include augmented reality features, it seems that the addition of the camera makes this news more reasonable.

Earlier this week, an article published by MCV UK showed that Nintendo NX will have "Dream Lineup" AAA-level games, including Pokemon, Mario, and Zelda games. The source also "confirmed" that NX will be a portable device, but it can be connected to a TV and has a separate handle. Nintendo also reported on well-known third-party game studios including Sega, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Activision, and Warner Brothers.
