Positive policy boosts the industry to grow exponentially

According to "Implementation Plan for Promoting and Applying LED Lighting Products in Shenzhen City," the city will prioritize the use of products with high energy efficiency and high degree of local support, support local LED lighting companies with corresponding conditions, and use their own advantages to participate in the implementation of LED lighting projects. This means that some Shenzhen local LED companies with core patented technologies will benefit.

Lu Jian, director of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee, revealed that according to statistics, the number of government lighting system replacements will be more than 500,000. Due to the promotion of LED lighting, by 2015, the industry will achieve an annual output value of more than 130 billion yuan, which is double that of existing industries.

Yang Lanfang, deputy secretary-general of China Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance, believes that although China has a large number of semiconductor lighting application companies, the scale of individual companies is small, and domestic LED lighting companies have very little annual sales of more than 1 billion yuan, even 500 million yuan. It is understood that at present, the Shenzhen Municipal Government has started LED "helping and supporting the strong" plan, hoping that during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, there will be LED leading enterprises with assets exceeding RMB 5 billion.

The national market will grow tenfold in the next three years

In August this year, the Ministry of Science and Technology released the "12th Five-Year Plan" for the development of semiconductor lighting technology. It is proposed that by 2015, the scale of China's semiconductor lighting industry will reach 500 billion yuan, and the cost of LED lighting products will be reduced to 20% in 2011. The share in the general lighting market should reach 30%.

Shenzhen Green Semiconductor Lighting is one of the largest LED flat panel lamp manufacturing and sales companies in China. Chen Baodong, the general manager of its high-end brand “Hi-Baiyin” LED lighting, told reporters that this means that in the field of general lighting, the next three years, LED lighting The market has ten times more room for growth. Chen Baodong said that at present, China's LED penetration rate in outdoor landscape lighting has exceeded 70%, the penetration rate of large-size LCD TV backlighting is 70%, and the penetration rate of general lighting has reached 3%.
