The Bluetooth official organization SIG recently released the Bluetooth 5.0 specification, standardizing the Mesh network: interconnection and communication between a large number of devices, and directly interconnected with mobile devices. ST's BlueNRG-MESH Software Development Kit (SDK) is used to create network device interconnect and smartphone application control programs. So far, this is the only SDK in the market that offers Android, iOS, and embedded system development packages. These three packages provide all the software components engineers need to run applications based on the ST BLE BlueNRG family of chips.

The BlueNRG-1 and BlueNRG-2 integrate Bluetooth wireless and ARM Cortex-M0 microcontrollers to provide a single-chip solution for smart device development. BlueNRG-2 operates at temperatures up to 105 ° C and is ideal for lighting applications. BlueNRG-MS works with a separate host controller, giving developers more flexibility to use ST's BLE wireless solution to add to existing products and leverage the SDK for Bluetooth Mesh.
The Android and iOS development kits provide a core stack and sample applications to help develop smartphone applications for network configuration and device control.
