Recently, Hunan Electric Power Company's 2011 design work meeting was held in Yiyang. The meeting carefully conveyed the spirit of the State Grid Corporation's "Infrastructure Design Management and Technology Innovation Exchange Conference", reviewed and summarized the 'Eleventh Five-Year' survey and design work, and objectively analyzed the deficiencies in the company's system design unit, design level, and design quality. On the basis of how to closely focus on the construction of a strong smart grid and a major construction system, the company has proposed specific requirements for the 'Twelfth Five-Year' and 2011 design work.

During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the company will use the construction of Mengxi and Jiuquan AC/DC UHV power transmission projects in Hunan Province as an opportunity to build a 500 kV “three vertical and four horizontal” main grid, completing the grid construction investment of 60 billion yuan, and putting into production 110 - 500 kV line 10,700 kilometers, capacity 47,200,000 kVA; planning and construction of eight 500 kV substations , five expansions, new capacity 14 million kVA, new 1,500 kV line 1,421 kilometers; Build 80 new 220 kV substations, expand 22, increase substation capacity 18,480,000 kVA, build 220 kV line 4,508 km; build 110 kV substation 237, expand 95, increase substation capacity 14,180,000 KVA, build 4,795 kV line 4795 kilometers. At the same time, it plans to build 326 intelligent substations with 110 kV and above, achieving a high-quality project rate of 75% for 110 kV and above power transmission projects, 99% completion rate of project settlement on schedule, and a power transmission project of 110 kV and above. One target's application rate reached 95%, and the benchmark of the infrastructure company of the State Grid Corporation entered the A segment.
