On August 12th, Beijing time, the British Daily Mail reported that the recent research of the two research groups has promoted quantum state teleportation to an unprecedented new height. They sent a single photon beam with a transmission distance of up to 97 kilometers. . This breakthrough may be an important step towards creating quantum computers and other new technologies that exceed current limits. Although there may be a long way to go before transmitting human beings, scientific researchers believe that the latest research is already an important step forward.

The research team used a small set of photons to transmit a qubit (the smallest unit of information in quantum computing) 97 kilometers without a fiber optic cable or other intermediary agencies, passing a lake on the way. In this experiment they used a complex laser positioning device.
Teleportation of quantum states depends on a phenomenon called entanglement, through which quantum particles share fragile invisible links through space. For example, two entangled photons may have mutually related but opposite polarization states—if one photon is vertically polarized, the other must be horizontally polarized.
But thanks to the intricate complexity of quantum mechanics, the specific polarization of each photon is still undecided, until one of them is determined by measurement, then the polarization state of the other photon immediately becomes opposite, even if the pair of entangled photons may be separated A few kilometers away.
This is the phenomenon that scientists believe can be used for quantum teleportation. The entire Chinese scientific research team uses ultraviolet light to stimulate crystals to generate entangled photons. This process will produce polarization values ​​of the same wavelength but opposite (currently unknown). One photon was sent 97 kilometers across Qinghai Lake, while the other photon was analyzed locally. The research report was published in the scientific journal Nature.
The breakthrough in Figure 2 will change the way people communicate by providing ultra-high-speed communications without the need for cables.
Using these photons, scientific researchers copied quantum states from the laboratory to a remote workstation, and obtained quantum state teleportation at a farther distance than previous studies.
This laser positioning device was developed by Yin Juan. This device is necessary to counteract minute earthquakes and atmospheric changes, which will break the connection between two remote areas.
The photon travel distance in this study exceeded the previous record by 16 kilometers. However, the second research team thought they would get better results. The European and Canadian research groups said they had transmitted the information from the Canary Islands to 143 kilometers away. However, this result has not yet published related articles.
