World Cup Lighting "most prestigious" LED procurement project

Oslan, the global lighting innovation manufacturer, and Beka, a South African public lighting expert, have achieved perfect cooperation at MosesMabhidaStadium in Durban, one of the main venues for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Osram South Africa direct sales company staff said that the newly developed series of light-emitting diode (LED) lamps can meet the strict requirements of the new building design. And this product is likely to be applied to a wider range of areas, including the supply of energy-efficient alternatives to conventional lighting products.

Moses; Mabhida Stadium itself will cost 4-5 million rand (1 yuan = 1.46101 South African rand), should be said to be the "most prestigious" LED procurement project in South Africa.

The choice of LEDs as a lighting solution has lower consumption and operating costs. As we all know, the "dynamic effects" of the lamps and lanterns continue to develop and require the OSRAM and Beka as members of the Siemens Group to conduct detailed research and improvement on the products. In fact, Beka is part of the Belgian Schroeder Group and has gained extensive experience from R-TECH, which specializes in research and development.

The purchase contract involves a 1.8-meter-long LED unit product, approximately 15,000 OSRAM "Golden Dragon" LEDs, which are controlled by a 412DMX channel (a control system that enables white LEDs to provide dynamic control modes for stadium lighting). At full power, the lighting system will require approximately 2.8 kilowatts of power, significantly lower than the level of consumption of competing products.
