Millet Korean version of the official online line is expected to directly enter the Korean market

[Global Science and Technology Report] According to Yonhap News Agency report on June 8, Chinese technology giant Xiaomi announced recently that the company has developed a Korean version of the official website. At present, Xiaomi is mainly sold through retailers in South Korea and is expected to be able to directly enter the Korean market in the future.

Millet launched a variety of new products through the site, including air purifiers and electric motorcycles. However, there are no smartphones and laptops on the site. A local retailer in South Korea stated that “Korean version of the official website of Xiaomi is directly developed by Xiaomi, but it is still in the beta stage.” The website does not support users to purchase products online.

Although Xiaomi is quite competitive in the Chinese market, it does not directly sell goods in the Korean market. Korean consumers can only purchase millet products through official retailers or overseas online shopping.

However, industry sources said that it is still uncertain whether Xiaomi will sell smart phones in the Korean market because it may face patent disputes with Samsung or LG. In addition, Xiaomi's mobile phone sales in the Chinese market are still strong, so the company is unlikely to choose to take risks in overseas markets.
