Oslux S.2.1 all-in-one chip LEDs offer a new LED version for camera flash applications

New generation Oslux LED

The Oslux range of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors has added new products. The two LED chips and lenses were first integrated into a single module. The Oslux S.2.1 all-in-one chip LED package is compact and combines cutting-edge technology from the high-tech company OSRAM Opto Semiconductors to provide a new LED version for camera flash applications. With a brightness of up to 125 lux , this product provides uniform illumination for taking photos and videos from mobile devices such as smartphones.

Oslux S 2.1 is added to OSRAM Opto Semiconductors' product line for camera flash applications . The product integrates two different color temperature chips, a 6,000 K cold white chip and a warm 2,250 K warm white chip (dual CCT), the first to integrate an all -in-one chip LED and lens . This not only reduces one process, but also achieves excellent results. Oslux's maximum color temperature deviation of 300 K provides exceptional color fidelity and excellent color consistency in the target scene.

In photographic light and camera flash applications, the integration of two LED chips and a silicon lens onto a printed circuit board provides customers with obvious benefits. Now, you can finally say goodbye to the cumbersome steps to achieve the best position of the lens. It saves time and optimizes the use of light. The lens-equipped Oslux S 2.1 measures 5.0 mm x 5.0 mm x 1.15 mm , which is slightly higher than the previous model, but saves board space. Compared to two separate LEDs, the exposed aperture is smaller and the compactness is surprising. The silicon lens allows the module to support reflow soldering and can be easily integrated into standard manufacturing processes.

The new version of 2018 is already in the works

Oslux S 2.1 is currently available. OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is in the process of launching another version in early 2018, Oslux S 2.2. The new version will discard the silicon lens and replace it with an epoxy lens . Thanks to this super-hard material, Oslux S 2.2 will not require a protective window and can be installed directly in mobile devices, enabling more industrial design options. In addition, the spectrally optimized converter will further enhance the photo effects of Oslux S 2.2.
