This article mainly introduces the virtual I2C bus serial display circuit, including SAA1064 pin function introduction, hardware circuit design, on-chip programmable function and program examples.
1.SAA1064 pin function
1 VDD, VEE: power supply, ground. Power supply 4.5 ~ 15V;
2 P1～P16: Segment drive output. Divided into two 8-bit ports:
P1 to P8; P9 to P16. P8 and P16 are high. The port latch has an inverting function. When set to 1, the port outputs 0.
3 MX1, MX2: Bit code driver. When the static display is driven, one SAA1064 can drive two LED digital tubes; when the dynamic display is driven, according to the connection mode of Figure 9-10, one SAA1064 can drive four LED digital tubes;
4 SDA, SCL: I2C bus data terminal, clock terminal;
5 CEXT: External capacitor for clock oscillator, typically 2700pF
6 ADR: Address pin terminal. The SAA1064 pin addresses A1 and A0 are addressed by ADR analog voltage comparison. When the ADR pin level is 0, 3VDD/8, 5VDD/8, VDD, the corresponding pin addresses A2, A1, A0 are 000, 001, 010, 011 respectively;
